Appeals court rules Federal Switchblade Act unconstitutional

A federal ban on manufacturing switchblades for sale or transport across state lines is unconstitutional, an appeals court ruled Wednesday, saying the knives are self-defense "arms" covered by the Second Amendment and thus entitled to protection.
