Amid Donald Trump's push for control of the Arctic island, Greenland’s prime minister, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, told a joint press conference this week that it would not be owned or governed by Washington, saying: 'We choose Denmark.' Denmark used to run Greenland as a colony and continues to control its foreign and security policy.
